    Job description: Zef Scientific Inc. requires a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform services, repairs, maintenance, installations, and upgrades as well as IQ/OQ for laboratory equipment. This position focuses on High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC) and Mass Spectrometry  (MS) instruments in the following industries: Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Medical Diagnostic, Academia, and Cannabis.

    • The candidate shall bring ZefSci hands-on field experience with the Installation, Repair, Qualification, Preventive Maintenance, Customer Training, Spares parts management, Customer complain handling of Mass Spectroscopy. The focus will be on supporting Waters LCMS/MS, LCMS-QTOF, Acquity UPLC and Alliance HPLC as well as PerkinElmer ICP-MS, GCMS and GC. Knowledge of PEAK N2 generators and CEM digestion instrument is required.
    • Provided highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of analytical systems.


    This worker shall be based in the greater Vancouver, British Colombia area and throughout the province and expected travel to multiple onsite locations to service our clients as well, for repairs, maintenance, installations, upgrades, and support primarily for Waters LCMS/MS systems and PerkinElmer ICP-MS.

    Provide training and guidance to laboratory end users and troubleshoot these systems when problems arise. In-house technical support. Training customers to familiarize them to their systems.

    Coordinated resources and work with the Service Team to deliver technical expertise to customers with high quality results to ensure high customer satisfaction.




    Environmental working conditions:

    The work environment can be quite noisy because of laboratory equipment. Workers are provided earmuffs.

    Terms of employment:

    3 years work contract


    Remuneration of $90,000 per annum

    The candidate shall be offered a performance target upon commencement of employment and if reached, will receive a bonus of up to $5,000.

    • Lead the efforts and process to gather and create SOP requirements or process improvements
    • Act as the supportive source of knowledge for all SOP’s and internal policy documents
    • Lead the analysis and recommendations for SOP effectiveness
    • Drive the day to day activities to ensure the accuracy, governance, and maintenance of SOP’s
    • Lead the escalation/communication of risks and issues as appropriate
    • Manage all aspects of the SOP document control and approval system and processes
    • Support the communication and training of SOP’s to operational teams
    • Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document processes, develop flowcharts, and draft SOP’s
