Position 1 (U.S.A West Coast):

Sr. Service Engineer with strong hands-on experience with the AB (Applied BioSystems) Sciex MS and MS/MS line of mass spectrometry equipment. Duties include: installing, verifying performances and specification after installation, interfacing the equipment with other liquid chromatography systems and injection devices, performing scheduled maintenance, trouble shooting and repairing the equipment, upgrading software to current revision, maintaining current parts list and sourcing alternative vendors. Other responsibilities include familiarizing customers with software and hardware, as well as basic maintenance of the systems. Must have at least 5 years relevant experience. Minimum education required is Bachelor degree in Sciences or equivalent. Good communication and organizational skills are highly desirable. The person must be able to work independently.

Position 3

Zef Scientific seeks a service Engineer for the Princeton, NJ area. Job duties will include performing operational qualification and performance verification on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry (MS) systems and its related devices according to FDA requirements; will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the qualification and validation of chromatography (including gas chromatography, GC) and mass spectrometry systems; will validate software related to the control, operation and time reduction of Sciex mass spectrometry systems; will service and troubleshoot Sciex triple quadrupole and ion trap mass spectrometers(ITMS); will service and troubleshoot Shimadzu, Agilent, and waters high performance liquid chromatography systems as well as the related peripheral systems; will provide customer training and support for method development and validation of assays.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Chemistry

Minimum one year experience performing HPLC, MS and autosampler(peripheral) instruments validation and qualification for use in GLP regulated environment in compliance with FDA requirements

Minimum one year experience maintaining and repairing HPLC, MS, and related peripheral instruments in a GLP environment

Demonstrated knowledge of chromatographic and mass spectrometric technologies including GC, HPLC, quadrupole and ion trap mass spectrometers, and hyphened techniques (GC/MS, GC/ITMS and LC/MS/MS)

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, calibrate, and perform GLP validation and qualification on Chromatographic and mass spectrometric systems, both in hardware and software platform formats
